AIM Solder Appoints Timothy O’Neill Technical Marketing Manager

CRANSTON, RHODE ISLAND - AIM Solder, a leading global manufacturer of solder assembly materials for the electronics industry, announces the appointment of Timothy O’Neill to the position of Technical Marketing Manager. Operating out of the AIM USA headquarters in Rhode Island, Mr. O'Neill is responsible for developing and optimizing product and technical information, collaborating with complementary suppliers and equipment manufacturers as well as ensuring AIM’s products continue to exceed end user expectations and meet market requirements.  

Mr. O'Neill is an experienced technical writer and speaker for industry trade publications and events.  He has co-authored several white papers on PCB assembly subjects and is currently working on several projects including an innovative study in collaboration with Brown University.

Mr. O’Neill has a B.A. from Assumption College and post-graduate studies in education.  He began his career in 1994 with EFD, heading their business development of fine pitch solder paste dispensing technology.  He joined AIM in 1997 and has since assisted many clients with production challenges, specializing in lead-free process development and material selection.

Additionally Mr. O’Neill will be presenting a white paper ‘VOC-free Flux Study, Not All Weak Organic Acids Are the Same’, at the upcoming SMTA Guadalajara Chapter Meeting and Tech Forum in Juarez, Mexico on July 17th.
